    Disabling Traction control on P38???

Nope, you are wrong - The term peasant spec is still standard speak in JLR workshops even now. I once owned a P38 for about 2 hours and nearly doubled my money on it. I never considered owning one long term,2 hours was plenty.

Disco 1 Immobiliser Question - anyone seen this style before?

It was indeed a replacement from LR for when the smart spider packed up. I remember fitting one to a 300TDI Defender back when all the insurance companies were making a fuss about immobilisers etc. There was a reader device which was fitted inside the column shroud. I hated ,(And still do)...

    One shot grease.

Halfway is fine, lube is better than no lube. If you fill it right up it will only force its way out when hot. Forget the introduction bit, nobody cares.

    Coil pack output voltage

Yes the actual voltage would need to be measured at each plug.It depends on the length and resistance per unit of length of the plug leads, the plug gap and the compression of that cylinder. With a decent lead and an ordinary BPR6ES plug a Rover V8 will run happily on petrol or LPG showing around...

Disco 1 discovery 300 tdi auto with edc pump help

The info you were given is correct, the replacement engine ecu needs a quick security learn procedure doing on Testbook or similar. A 5 min job,and seeing as its already in place cheaper than messing around with finding another pump and fitting a cable...

Ahh, I only read the bit you put above the picture,I tend to post when I don't have much time.Like this morning when I was eating my breakfast... It does show however, that we were both thinking the same thing - And that it was important for the OP.

    Discovery 2.0 MPI emission failure

No problem, the ecu on these uses manifold absolute pressure to calculate airflow, unlike the conventional airflow meter on a TD5 etc. So the Map sensor is placed in the inlet manifold after the throttle butterfly. So at idle you have the highest manifold depression or most vacuum. Only with the...

    Discovery 2.0 MPI emission failure

Your Map pressure at idle is in the parish, it will only go to 100Kpa at wide open throttle.(When there is no manifold depression)Swapping ECU's around is not a good idea without Testbook as these units had setup procedures that need to be followed through via the Testbook menu. When done...

    P38A Center diff lock issue

Bexer, ever tried pushing a P38 by hand - heavy isn't it,even in a straight line. Now try turning the steering wheel to full lock - can you push it now ? I don't think so... If you can your VC is bu##ered. The VC allows only a very limited amount of slip when working properly. Read the test...
