Do you find that you get rattle due to the vibration of the exhaust on the rear wing?

Thought I would post a quick thread about a discovery 1 side exit exhaust.
I've wanted one since I got rid of the ground anchor (tow bar) and fitted a fuel tank guard.
I have wanted to have a go with the MIG welder I bought last year so I thought I would have a go at using my relatively new...

Thought I would have a practice a my mig welding so made a side exit exhaust out of my old rear exhaust and my new one.
Doesn't look off the shelf but but I didn't expect it to! Main thing is its solid.:)

I think you would still need a wide angle prop to cope with the increased amount of travel from fully compressed to fully extended.

Cheers for the photos and the advice. Might have to try taking out the centre dash and have a look. I understand there won't be much space to work with, just been looking at it and seen that I can do without the ash tray and coin slot which might help.

Good photos, highlights the fact I may need to get a radiator cover! It was rather clogged up!

Went to Roundhill Woods in Tring and had a cracking day. Not a big place but plenty of opportunity to get muddy. First outing since taking the land anchor off and putting on a tank guard. Met some new faces too.
Cheers Farrar & DefenderDog for the guided tour and the assistance out of the bomb...

Great info. Might have a go at this.

Fitted an X Eng split charge to my disco 1. Not a lot of room in the engine bay but didn't want to compromise on boot space so I removed the bottle jack (as I never use it) and made a clamp to put the battery in (quite a tight fit). ran some wire around and bobs your uncle.
Seems to be...

Forgot to mention, I dit a paracitic draw test after fitting the new fuses and it didn't come up with anything out of the normal range

Hi everyone.
I've pulled loads of fuses and have found 2 10amp that were fryed. Having looked at the wiring diagrams in the Haynes bible there are a few circuits which include the electrics for reversing and just looking at the fuse diagram on the steering collum flap doesn't help.
I have no...
