check for moisture on the fuse board on the drivers side bulkhead. Also check the BCU (Body Control Unit) thats behind the glovebox.

Turns out it is not the ribbon cable after all! On the back of the unit there are three plugs, waggling the wires into the white plug brought the light back on. Seems like one of the connections or wires in this plug is flaky. No dry joints on the pcb so looks like I will have to find the flaky...

Hi All, The backlight on the aircon controll unit on my disco keeps going out, then for no apparent reason comes back on again. When this first started reseating the ribbon cable that joins the two pcb's solved the problem. That doesn't work anymore :( The bulbs are OK as the light does work...

Hi, I need some help please. The intermmitant wipe on my disco stops half way across the front screen. Works OK on full wipe. I guess a relay is faulty but I can't find a relay for this... Anyone got any ideas please? cheers Dennis
