As has been previously mentioned above just remove the spring and see what happens to the pedal with no spring. You can't drive with no spring but atleast it's free to check.

Thanks. So it could be just the spring (which was the original issue) and a £2 replacement rather than the £800 job the garage is recommending?

This is what I got from the mechanic (I’m going in to collect the car tomorrow): We are recommending the clutch servo unit be removed and replaced with a standard clutch master cylinder. This is due to 2x issues we have identified. The first...

Take spring off and try without. It is a known issue that the LOF pressure reducing spring can sometimes give the issues you have.

By the sounds of it the spring may be at fault. Fit a standard spring and see what happens.

Hi, I’m not technical unfortunately but it is a TD5 engine. I think the mechanic has checked all of the above though

Mechanic describes it as being ‘sucked’ to the floor and intermittently sticking

Hi - I have an 05 Plate 110 with 150km on the clock. I’ve just had a new LOF clutch fitted but the garage is saying they think the servo has gone, not the clutch itself. It was fitted with a Red Booster in 2019 and the car has not been used for...
