As has been previously mentioned above just remove the spring and see what happens to the pedal with no spring.
You can't drive with no spring but atleast it's free to check.

Yes, the original spring that was use with the servo snapped and a mechanic on an earlier job fixed it but didn’t replace it. That seemed to do the trick but it was recommended that I get a new clutch completely but now I fear I’m back to square one.
