    Leaking roof (Somewhere)

I put a continuous healthy smear between the sunroof seal and bodywork just in case there was a pinhole that I couldn't see. It looks as though it's hardened and doesn't wash off. The water used to come in above the passenger visor and drivers B post but nothing has appeared since.

    Leaking roof (Somewhere)

I had the same problem together with water on the seat belt - annoying when pulling the belt out without thinking and getting soaked! I'd read that vaseline around the sunroof seal would work. Gave it a shot and not had a problem since despite rain, snow, ice.

Why did you buy a disco!!

Cos I can travel 1000 miles in 2 days in air conditioned, musically pleasured comfort and do 800 miles off road (rocks, challenge hills, dry river runs, dunes, drag races) in 36 degree heat with a return journey of equal ease. Completely standard vehicle with new Grabber AT's stood up to a...

    Buzzing bulkhead

Sorted it. U clip on the air con pipe (I think) attached to bulkhead behind the block. Pulled straight off as the nut had obviously worked loose and dropped off leaving the thread to vibrate against the head causing the vibration/buzzing. Bliss.

    Dynachip

I think Mike can set different levels of performance/consumption depending on your requirement so it's worth having a chat. If it's purely a financial benefit you're looking for then I suppose you need to calculate the 'payback'.

    Dynachip

Mike's just left with my cheque for £225 - best money i've spent in a long while. Pulls like a train, revs higher than it's ever done and mooches around at 1,000rpm in 5th! Also did a diagnostic test, found a faulty air flow meter, advised on other mod's to help and found a loose clip that...

New disco owner could use some help!

I've got Mike booked. He's a busy boy so give him a ring and he'll fit you in when he's local. He was in London when I last spoke to him and I think he's Liverpool based. I can't wait to feel the difference - especially if I can get to 5,000 rpm!!

    Discovery 2 steering guard

Hi Scott, I'm having the same problem. Only seem to do them for Disco 1. Is this down to the design of the 2's front end being too low for recovery points? I'll keep 'em peeled and let you know if I come across anything. Dave

    Buzzing bulkhead

Hi all, '53 TD5 has buzzed since owned (7 months). Only happens under load and appears to come from the dash area. Garage attempted to fix but broke the windscreen while trying to get at the bulkhead. Don't know how and didn't hang around to ask. I'm convinced that it's on the engine side...

    Compressor noise, a problem?

Thanks very much sierrafery. You've put my mind at rest for the time being.

    Compressor noise, a problem?

That's good to know, thanks. Although I don't notice the ride height change from start or stop!

    Compressor noise, a problem?

I definitely have the same noise which I assumed to be the compressor. It doesn't happen every time I stop so I'm assuming it depends how far/long I've driven and if it needs to self-adjust. Is this right or the start of a bigger problem? I also have a short hiss which sounds like air being...

A new Disco for the house hold ...

Got my 53 plate XS 6 days ago and done 750 miles already. Great car so long as you don't mind settling for life in the slow lane. Pulls in any gear from 30mph like a train and doesn't miss a beat - although time will tell... I've come to the conclusion that it won't match my old Beemer on...
