I have a 01 prefacelift ES model that does NOT have ISOFIX and I also have a 02 facelift version that does have ISOFIX. Maybe it came in with the model change in 02?

I wonder was the isofix an option so, as my pre-facelift 01ES does not have it on the rear seats but as I said above, my post facelift 02ES does have it on the rear seats.

Will be doing the same myself, picked up a 02 Es that had very little use over last couple of years and AC needed regassing. Got it done and it all leaked out in two or three days. Pi55ed off they dd not pressure test it but will be going back in next couple of days.

I have the same thing in my 01 auto, but that was originally a manual that was converted quite early in its life. Auto has always worked well but I have never needed to use the M or the S to date. Not sure whether it needed to be switched on at some 'computer' level

I clicked on 90k - 110k miles as this is my older more trusted 01td5ES, but have just bought a facelift 02td5ES which has 41k genuine miles on it. Cannot be too many around with that low mileage, It was a UK car and I am in the process of re-registering it over here in Ireland.

Can anyone advise whether I can swap the amp and possibly speakers in the 'Premium' set up in the newer disco for the Karman Kardon amp / speakers in the slightly older one, will there be much improvement? Is the wiring in place for the subs in the back door? Anyone?

The Disco 2 name denotes that it was made after 1998/99 and came in diesel and petrol formats. The 2.5 td5 diesel engine is NOT a BMW engine. If the wheels fit a range rover P38, then they will fit a Disco2. Not 100% sure about your other queries
