There is a 'soft' adaption clear which could be useful to you, definitely wouldn't do a hard adaption unless solenoids have been checked & changed as required. That said, the dynamic adaptions are a rolling 150 mile cycle IIRC, so if you're...
Hello
Searched and couldn't find an answer to this.
I had posted about loss of power at lower speed where if you lift off the gas the power comes back. Could be all sorts of things. I drive quite smoothly around town wjere it has been...
Worth a try before going down the inlet manifolds and turbo route. If it were Turbo related I'd likely cut my losses to be honest.
I'm bemused that the problem is so intermittent and coming off the gas and back on power comes back making me...
Hey man
Did you ever rectify this?
I have similar issue. I had a load of warning lights the first time they the dissapeared. Changed the fuel filter and thought that was it but today same issue. When i come off gas and then back on it always...
No error codes have returned but I'm getting dead spots when pulling away where I'm having to release the throttle and then press it again to move. Any thoughts folks? Fuel filter didn't cure it. 🤔
Well I can getvthe LR3.0 for £150 right now and if it works represents good value and could sell for say £80.
Gap I can get fir £499 (£479 if I use PayPal credit) and maybe sell for 350-400 if I'm lucky. So overall cost of ownership similar I...
So close to pulling trigger on a GAP tool bit final bit of hesitation kicking in as I'm probably going to change cars within 12 months.
Icarsoft are saying the LR3.0 now calibrates suspension and retailers promoting this as the main function...
Update. Fuel filter changed. Mechanic couldn't recreate the symptoms so no way of telling if this will resolve the power issue. The battery was well over 14 and alternator healthy so not that. Drove it for 15 miles without any issue when I...
The suspension calibration will fail if the values are out by +/-3mm relative to each other - that's nothing to do with the tool but the error checking within the module. Sometimes you have to put incorrect but valid values in and repeat the...
Don't bother with the foxwell (got one and it won't do recalibrate suspension it might do the sas but don't count on it never tried it on mine) that's why I went for the gap in the end.
The weird thing is if the gap tool came with an actual unit for that price it would seem good value, I think the size of it albeit its extremely powerful makes it seem like a larger investment than what it is.
I'm torn, I think you're right...
In that case, as popular as the GAP seems to be, it's probably going to be a wasted investment, IIRC the iCarsoft LR version can do everything you want without having to give 'the man' more dosh if you need / want to do a quick job on your mate's...
Can't see the future but what I do know is on my car I definitely want to try calibrate yhe suspension and steering angle sensor, and I want to be able to view and clear codes for troubleshooting module comm faults. So I guess the most reliable...
SDD if you're happy with the intricacies of Windows 7 & 'modified' software, it also depends upon how much you think you'll need / want to do. GAP has a lot of capabilities, but can also 'brick' your car if you get carried away - but outside of...
Thankfully, I have no specific knowledge of the newer cars so I can make no recommendations other than good diagnostics are necessary to keep Range Rovers running. Good diagnostics can always be sold on, so £500 will not be a total loss if you...
For a 2010 RRS tdv6 what would you use for diagnostics
Icarsoft v SSD v GAP tool.
Main motivation is Ride Height recalibration, steering angle sensor calibration and general fault code reading and deletion.
Thoughts?
I've went down a diagnostic rabbit hole this weekend guys. I had ordered an icarsoft 3.0 based on the YouTube guys. But the reviews on amazon are worryingly terrible. I read that this can be used for air suspension recalibration and steering...
I have one from Aldi and one from Lidl, they work very well. True you can get a small spark on one of them if you connect to the battery before plugging into the mains but not if you plug in first. They all use similar chip sets so you pay for...
They are overpriced but a cheaper one i bought just didn't seem as good. Sparks when you connect to the battery and just doesn't seem to charge as efficiently
