    Ok quick update, timing is now sorted. The car still won't run. Car has fuel and spark. Although towing the car to start it works only it will not idle once revs drop it cuts out. Then it still won't go on the key. Again drag it down the road and it STARTS. as said wont idle have to keeps revs...

    Will contact the garage to find out. I was told the Ecu goes wrong on these is this true??? Causing them to over fuel.

    Hi guys I'm new to this site, I have a freelander 2001. (petrol 1.8).. I was told head gasket had gone so I have had this replaced with all gaskets and bolts replaced. The car is now over fuelling like crazy I have had the injectors and rail replaced and still no different. The car won't start...
