I think that's probably what I'll end up doing.

I recently bought a Wild Bear wraparound rear diff guard. It came supplied with 2 M10 bolts to fasten one end to the existing holes in the underside of the diff but when I came to fit it the bolts were too wide. I tried an M8 but it was too loose. So does anyone know what the correct thread for...

Thanks for the suggestions guys.
Having had a look round I found this:-

I's a combined sealant and adhesive so looks like it could be up to the job. Does anyone have any experience of using it?

As I was apparently a good boy last year Santa brought me a snorkel for the disco. I'm looking to fit it in the next week or two and I've assembled all the necessary tools and have come to the problem of sealant.
Research on LZ and elsewhere suggests 3 alternatives
1. Ordinary bathroom...

Mechanically I can't fault the Terrafirma lift kit I put on mine, but within 12 months and less than 6000 miles the paint was falling off the springs. By 18 months the paint had all gone and the springs were covered in rust. It hasn't affected their operation but I would have thought a supposed...

First of all I'm sorry for your loss.
A lot of people assume that 4x4s are much safer as they are big and beefy. In low speed accidents this tends to be true, especially for vehicles with ladder frame chassis that act as battering rams. I've been rear ended twice by numpties at low(ish) speeds...

You can buy shear head nuts where the hex bit shears off when they're torqued up, leaving a cone that can only be removed by drilling or cutting.
Have a look at them at Screwfix
I don't know if the'd be any good as I've never fitted a winch but maybe worth a look.

That sounds adbout right mate. Normally the temperature guage sits just under the halfway mark. The tdi engine tends to run pretty cool anyway, in fact a lot of guys remove the viscous fan completely and only replace it for towing or long slow off road trips.
New coolant and thermostat wouldn't...

There used to be an old guy in our street who used to drain the oil, stick a gallon of diesel in, take it for a 5 mile run then drain the diesel out and put the new oil in. He swore by it for clearing the accumulated crap out of the oil ways.

Forgot to say, check you're actually getting a voltage to the solenoid when the ignition is on as well.

I had a similar problem where randomly mine just wouldn't fire up, just turning over and over. It turned out to be the shut off solenoid. It's easy enough to test (Although its a bugger to change)
The solenoid is the thing that looks like a spark plug with the blue collar on. To test it...

Last year I was insured with Flux Direct. I got my renewal letter and they wanted £300 for this year. I thought I could do better so I trawled all the comparison sites and managed to get it down to £200 with...wait for it....Flux Direct. Exactly the same cover, same excess etc but 1/3 cheaper...

If I remember correctly you'll need 6 M10x120mm bolts for the steering guard.
