Thanks, I feared you'd say something like that. I fitted a replacement fusebox and BCU last year (Heathy). A wet IDM did immediately spring to mind, but I don't see how the folding mirrors fits, maybe a coincidence (water on the mirror ECU) ...

The plastic tank isn't heavy. Remove the pump and syphon out the fuel first, then undo the clips on the filler hose and breather, then undo the bolts on the tank cradle and drop the tank. I've done this laying on my back and on my own many times...
