Job done. Took advice and go fitter to do it and as predicted he broke the original screen, but replacement was fine and I can actually see out now.

Hi All,
Any tips for replacing the front window seal on a 1994 Def pickup as the original is very leaky. I have the seal now but I assume you have to drop the headlining and go from there . Nothing in the workshop manual . Has anyone done this before? and if so any tips please..

Yes I tried removing tyre and cleaning corrosion with a wire brush and applying lots of bead sealant but to no avail. Just wasnt sure if these rims / tyres are compatible with tubes as this would be the cheaper option.

Well well turns out it wasnt the battery , but the XYZ switch. Plugged in at local indie. Faults showed XYZ or loom problem so they said they would change out switch and only charge me if it was the problem. They did it there and then and I have had no faults since but we will see this morning...

Had a look today and some oil around area esp on wire ( I think it is to the solenoid). Cleaned up and sandpapered spade. Disco has been fine all day now. But sounds as though I need to flash the cash for a new starter / solenoid. Is there anything to look out for when changing it...
