the top part of the shaft has no thread at all to try and fix with a small hack saw

hi i have a new nut but what i am after is the type of thread and the size so i can get the correct die to remake the thread on the end of the steering column it is all stripped and needs fixed before i can put it back together

hi guys i am trying to find out the size and thread type of the nut holding my steering wheel on landy is a 1972 SWB the thread is damaged and i am looking to get a tap and die set to fix it but want to find out the correct sizes so i dont buy the wrong set

cheers sean i flushed the matrix i now get warm air coming through i have just got a 82 degree thermostat will fit that tomorrow

hi never looked at that the top hose gets hot the hose going to the the matrix gets hot will get it running tomorrow and see if the matrix heats up was looking on fleabay for a thermostat there was a 74 and a 82 degree one will it matter which on i buy. gonna replace this anyway.

hi guys just replaced the chassis on my 1972 landrover it passed it MOT first time a bit of a surprise to me but it the heater i know they are rubbish but i get loads of air the clear the windows but not even the slightest bit of hot air (or even warm)someone said block the rad with card or...

at work just now but i traced it back to the fuse box this morning will look at it later and see where it goes from there;)

the connection for the heater plugs works since i changed the wires to the ones you gave me .going over the wiring diagram agian to see if i can find where the brown wire goes

cheers for that doobie all working the dashlights oil pressure charge light and best of all the cold start the old girl starts amazing now that works .only thing is still stumped on where the thick brown wire goes but i will find out eventually

cheers for that am still at work just now but will change all my wires when i get home and let you know i just wonder where that extra brown wire comes from. and is the brown/red wire got a larger spade connection on your ignition

still stumped with the ignition have left it just now been away getting another heater blower as mines is goosedjust tried it there with the key in but the ignition not on i get a faint blue light from the main beam my headlights come on and taillights no oil light

cheers for that what the book says is brown/red t1 white/red t2 white to t3 and brown to t4 .i also have another brown wire?? .the brown/red and one of the browns have bigger spades than the other 3 also none of my dash lights or head/tail lights work until i turn the ignition off these all...

hi help needed i have just replaced the chassis on my 1972 series 3 swb diesel everything was going fine until when bolting the bulkhead back on i stupidly knocked the wires off the ignition i looked online and in the book but the book shows 4 connections but the lucas ignition has 5 terminals...
