    Solenoid just a switch , put battery live lead direct to the one coming out of starter or have a couple of heavy duty/ jump flying leads connected to the two lead ends and into cab and join there to engage starter

    I will give it a go over with a wire wheel And then may sneak into the dishwasher when the wife isn’t looking before giving the inside a final buffing.

    Looks a bit minging, but I wouldn’t worry about it. A good clean and new s/s pistons with seals and she’ll be good again!

    I paid £70 for a windscreen fitter to put mine in. I’m happy to tackle any job on the old girl, but this was £70 I really didn’t mind parting with!
