I made elbow so carb pointed towards original oil bath filter, and used a copper gasket that extended down towards exhaust manifold (it`s painted silver) to prevent carb icing.

I found the following sites helpful when I fitted a HS6 to my 2.25.

Do you not have to be careful that if you need insurance if vehicle not sorn?
ie. insurance expires, vehicle off road but still taxed needs to be sorn as DVLA assume it is still on road?

You could try this as a possible fix.

I see seats advertised on facebook market place quite often and normally quite cheap, the Audi ones I fitted were free and reasonable tidy.

I have Audi seats in my series, think they are from an A3. Trimmed as much of the seat base off them as I could and then welded some strip steel on to align with the standard adjustable seat rails.
They are much better for me than the Series seats I had before, I also had some high back seats...

Many years ago when I first learned to ride a motorbike I was taught to apply the front brake first. This was so weight transfer to the front wheel took place before you applied the rear brake and prevent locking rear wheel.

Fitted these to my series, you could still open them with most keys so not really secure. Converted them to use a cheap remote kit off ebay and inhibited the operation of the key.

I have never used them as I do most things myself, but when I go for an MOT in the unit that is opposite they always have a good mix of Land Rovers outside which can`t be a bad sign.
