Yeah if the seat is going spare that would be awesome and helpful thank you. Send me a private message and we can sort it out :)

Looks like a good idea, was it easy enough to make the brackets?

What did you use to make the brackets could be a good option

Yeah let me know if it's any good

I had considered that and it may work, however if I break it further stripping it down then I'm completely without a seat. I have tried stripping it down before but got stuck halfway and didn't want to risk it. It might be something I try if I manage to get a spare seat.

I've seen those but unfortunately they won't help, I should have mentioned the seat metal base and part of the metal lower back support have both broken

Would 300 tdi seats like those in the eBay advert fit in my 200? As the base / sub frame is different?

For a while now the driver's seat has been broken on my 200tdi k reg disco. I can't seem to find a replacement second hand seat anywhere! I've Tryed to fix the base to no avail to.
Is there any other landrover model seats I could make fit? Maybe something which is a bit more readily...

I didn't realise that, guess I shouldn't judge a book by its cover :)

just wondering which oil (brand and spec) other people recommend? Currently have been using Halfords own brand but fancy treating the disco to a summer service and something a little better.
It's a 200tdi on a 93 K reg
Any advice / views appreciated

Also if it's not got a fuse box in engine bay it is worth checking the fusible links. I had one go/ corrode caused no end of intermittent electrical faults with my disco 1 200tdi.
Easy enough to check and rule out.
