Yeh, the Amigos are not unique to Freelander, but its not common to many cars, so yeh, is suitable to that thread.

The point I was making is that the HDC switch I do not think can throw the Amigos - it is broken, it just can't be activated, or will be activated all the time if its broken 'live'. Not like the brake switch, for example, that can. Same with the other bits specific to HDC - ie gear selection, unless they both are indicating on.

The 3 Amigos does indicate that HDC is not available, but it is unlikely to be a component specific to HDC that has failed. Much more likely a common part - in fact if it was just an HDC component, then just the HDC warning would be lit, so you can actually rule them out.
It has on the ones I've repaired.

no mot only repairing it because it needs mot driven 6 months with lights on and off
So you don't want to get pulled by plod for not having a MOT, but for 6 months you've been willing to kill that kid who stepped out onto a zebra crossing on a rainy day?

Put yourself at lesser risk than that kid, just drive it.
