Dear Defenderers,

My reverse light switch has been dead for months, I've been looking at the upfront fuse and it's fine, and tested the bulb and electrical feed, I got no power at all.

I've been looking for the switch below the front middle seat, but I can't find it...

Could you please help?

R380 gearbox yeah ?

Thanks for the links, it looks like a right bummer which I pretty much suspected. But I'm pretty sure it is the switch that is dodgy so better dig it out, worth the try as can't take it to MOT with this default.

Will let you know how it goes, thanks again.

Got it, one wire was cut. Had to to take the tunnel out to manage to see something and reach it.

Got the part, fitted in and screwed tight - blind mode. All working again.

FYI depending on year you don't need the reverse light to pass mot.

Fir some reason mine was blowing the fuse to rear brake lights each time reverse was selected, so the mot indy failed it, pulled the switch, and passed it. Something for me to work out when I have time...but good result for you!
