Hi,does anyone have for sale a snorkel suitable for mounting on a freelander?Or even better, does any one have a set of plans or a design or any ideas on how to make a decent looking one?(have you seen the price of these in some of the mags?)Thanks a lot.

I think they're pretty useless, as the Freelander alternator sits pretty low, so if you go in water over the specified 40cm you're likely to need to replace the alternator, which isn't cheap. So in my humble opinion, a snorkel is only going to be cosmetic, and not actually increase the wading depth of the car.

Sorry to be a killjoy.

Brave man taking a freelander into water, best just to drive it into a lake without the snorkle:D:D

has anyone notices this was first posted in 2005? i seriouslt doubt hes still looking for a snorkel :5bhurray:

surely the silly low cost of the 1.8 gaylander petrol, you could afford to drive it into deep water and if the doors fall orf just buy another gaylander
