Does anyone have any knowledge on this subject? Apparently, regular trips were undertaken by the Department of Geography of the University Reading in the 70's and involved, at least as far as I know, a LWB Safari Landrover and an unknown number of students. I'm a little curious as to what they got up to on their travels and whether anyone knows of anyone who participated in what must have been an interesting combination of adventure and research.

Have you emailed them and asked if they have records or some such ?

Logically as @Dippypud suggests above. Also, could there be a FB page for the Geog. Dept., U of Reading/Thames Valley University?

That’s if they made it back….
I know at least one group did as I have their Landrover:p! ( A blue LWB Safari 2 & a quarter petrol fitted with a Brownchurch roofrack.) Yes, ta for your replies, I will get on the 'case' one day. (Don't use fb) Just wondered if anyone on the forum had any knowledge/stories.
