Wobbly 1.8 engine

Replaced a broken slave/master hydraulic clutch kit this weekend. And it worked!

After doing so I noticed that the engine is shaking quiet a lot, we'll to be honest I don't really know what's normal but this did get my attention.

It starts and runs perfectly, no problems. Also no 'under powered' feeling while driving (still can't believe it's just an 1.8).

What I do notice for the last few weeks is that the exhaust smells, a bit of a weird burny something smell. The kind all petrol engines have only this is much more apparent.

Would anyone know of any known issues? Or is this shaking normal?

Probably the engine mount bushes, nobody makes the bush, you have t buy the whole bracket assembly, I fabricated some

As for the exhaust, not sure what you mean?

I replaced the ignition leads, rotor cap and spark plugs, this seems to have solved some things. I placed some pictures and a video on my blog:

All in all, as you stated the shaking that remains seems to be normal.

exhaust smell maybe the cat although it normally smells of eggs & sulpher, you notice it most if you have the rear window down also when towing as the air flow round the back of the car is disrupted .
OR IT MIGHT JUST BE THE BEANS I HAD FOR LUNCH
