I was told rover make it and it called K6 series engine, but not long ago i took my freelander to a garage and there saying my v6 engine is different to k6 series, he seems to think mine is more sportier as it has two fans on it. Mine is a 2001 51 plate model, just wondering was there two version of engines, did ford make one or did they use another engine like clio v6?

Powertrain made all the k-series, some with tweaks to make them sportier but they are essentially the same engine top to bottom.

Powertrain went in liquidation in 2005, even there web domain is now a training company
