Hi All

Just had a reply on the general section in relation to above and was advised to come back over to the Freelander forum. I don't appear to have the ' the slit' in the carpet under driver's seat for the ECU plug cruise control.

The chap on the general section said that some facelift models didn't have the wiring for some reason.

If this is the case, can I retrofit? I appear to have everything else ie master switch, controls on steering and gubbins under the bonnet?

cheers

is ur an auto

ref the slit in the carpet , it a it hard to see

put ur seat all the way forward and where u see the metal section of flooring going across there should be a couple of threaded studs showing

just there on the carpet should be a small slit and if u rake around there should be a small black connected with i think around 4 x wires attatched

red the facelift model it is strange as some owners can't find the wiring either on the newer models for some reason

let us know how u get on

Hi Again

Just had a quick look and I have a plastic cover under the seat the CD changer in front of it. I can see a grey connector which I can't reach at the moment due to the rear seats being down as I have a large dog cage in place. Will update in dayligh when the cage is removed'

Cheers

Hi All

Investigated in daylight and the cover I could see is the shield for the Cruise control components which are all there and in place. I reseated the connections and took the car out for a test. Et Voila, cruise control now working perfectly.:)

Thanks for the advice.
