It’s pretty good. I can’t see any water coming in and it’s really rained since I did it. The clips are for the rolled up cover. It clips onto these when the roof is down. They work well too which surprised me

It is photographed on East Devon Cars forecourt. If the garage are selling it then the sale should be honoured OK.

Good find. Mot history looks fair, not that I am stalking it!!!

I've no got a clue where they are yet, but guessed you'd know. ;)

I've had an email from them, and they're honouring the sale. So I've bought a 119K miles FL2 SE which looks to be an really nice condition, with service history and a misfire for £2000!
Some pics off the Ebay listing.

It's insurance is sorted for Friday, when I pick it up, fingers crossed it makes it on the 103 mile home trip.

Thanks Rob. I'm hoping it's as good in the flesh as it looks in the pictures.

Of course it does mean that the Facelift TD4 SE will have to go, as A I'll need the money:eek:, and B I don't have the space to park it.

I've been there, done that, got the T shirt, although that was 25 years ago, with a Delorean DMC12!!

In all seriousness, it says its got a misfire, so what could possibly go wrong? Failed injector, =no damage I guess, loose swirl flap, =hopefully no damage, broken off swirl flap, =bent valve, damaged piston, and so on. We'll see I guess.

What could POSSIBLY go wrong?

Take some sandwiches, a thermos of tea, a tool kit and a fully charged mobile phone, and you'll not go wrong.

Looking forward to hearing the "bringing her home" story...

If you test drive it and are worried, it is 42 miles from us. Tools and a slow speed tow available !!!

Thanks for the offer Andy. If I get in trouble, I might well take you up on it.

I do have RAC recovery though, and we'll have the Mazda, with some tools in the boot and a tow rope, and a diagnostic device or two, so hopefully I'm OK. ;)
If the engine goes big bang on the way home, then hopefully it'll not be the end of the world. They're cheap enough for replacements, so I'm not overly bothered if it meets a sudden demise.

LOL, good on yer Nodge.
You can do a Roadkill trip home and record the entertainment for us to enjoy. :p

More like the last three weeks:
Bought 2004 TD4 Facelift with low milage. Got home and on the drive back might have got a speeding ticket near Manchester :( 72 mph in restricted zone which I must have missed
Got home and the underbody rust was far worse that initial inspection. again.
Spent three days under the car to derust and treat. 3/4's done.
Stripped old Freelander of any useful parts, and had it taken away. (Should have kept it for a few more weeks, but the better half wanted it gone.)
Bought, reconditioned, and fitted trailer hitch.
Bought and fitted Muddymods Rocksliders. Bished initial fitting and had to get some help. Now bolted and welded; they're not going to come off!
Painted and fitted sumpguard that I had.
Changed as many rusty screws and fixing I could find.

Work in progress. Engine looks and runs great.
