Default Water in 3 door roof rails !

Hello all , decided to remove the hardback last sunday , as the sun was out , a rare thing this year , by the book for a change , remove roof rails first which we did and found them to have filled with water in the 3 main sections , the rails have been left on the car for nearly 3 years so this is the first time ive come across this problem , any one else had this , i have drilled a small drain hole in each section so hopefully this will stop the build up of water in them IS THIS ANOTHER LAND ROVER EXPERIENCE

Alloy , with steel rivets holding the tubing to the cast alloy bits, the water was clear with no rust
