Hello there.

It's not my first post, I first posted a while ago on here.

I've a 2001 TD4 5 door. Current issue which just started a few weeks ago is the Hill decent light and Traction control light remaining on when I put the key into start the engine, and after i start the engine. They normally go off before I turn the ignition.

I had first thought from reading the forum that it was the brake light switch so have replaced it and its still occurring.

I have noticed when it does occur the engine oil light either is not illuminate or the engine oil light and battery, or the glow plug lights flicker.

To clear it i start the engine, turn it off and turn the electrics back on again, and the oil lamp is illuminated normally, then goes off with the traction control and hill decent. Then I start the engine.

I'm guessing its an earth connection somewhere in regards to the maybe the oil sensor? Has anyone else come across this one.

The warning lights don't illuminate when driving, its just they remain on prior to ignition and remain on after that, unless I restart it.
