Urgent help PLEASE - overspill hose T connector blows off on start

I need urgent help please, I did search the Google bar, but nothing seems to match so apologies if this has been covered.
The Freelander struggles slightly on start up, but then catches. At that moment, the "T" connector for the diesel over-spill hose blows out of the injector.
Fuel slowly weeps from the top of the injector so appears to be over pressured on start up, then normal after the pressure release from the "T" connector blowing off.
Does anyone have any ideas please?

Not sure how to check if an injector is blocked, but will check the lines now and update, thanks

Spill rail connector has broken - have you recently removed the spill rail at all?

The plastic can get brittle overtime - I would suggest removing them using a pair of fine nose pliers and checking the length of the stub which fits into the injector.

You'll find the one that keeps popping is shorter. Look in the top of the injector and you'll see the remains of the broken off bit - remove this using the fine nose pliers.

You will need a new spill rail assembly or you can get the t pieces on eBay separately.

Sounds like the return hose is blocked to me. If the injector is blocked it will run bad but it wont blow the pipe off. The blead off pipes are just for excess diesel, to return and therefore they should never be under presure at all.
If they are there is a blockage. There should and has to be more diesel delivered than required because if not you could and would get air in and you dont want that!!!!

It was the return to pump. Blockage right by the steel return line.
What a complete B*tch of a job to get to.
The "T" connector and "O" ring are OK, thank god.
