Hi i wonder if anyone can help with my x reg 2.5v6 auto
My freelander1 needs a new transponder ring, the coil around the ignition as it was a brittle housing when i took off the steering wheel cover it broke and the copper wire sprung out, now the car wont crank however the alsrm light on the dashboard goes on and off when the door is locked via the key( no fob as lost )
Went to landrover today they quoted £429 inc vat as i have to buy the whole transponder ring, 2 keys, ignition swithch etc but i only need the transponder ring, everything else is fine i know the part number is QRF101260H Tried to see if a 1.8 would be the same as a 2.5 V6 but alas they are different. Does anyone know where i could get a cheaper one or a salvage yard that would have a Xreg 2.5v6?
