td4 timing belt or chain

allright all

does an 02 plate td4 freelander have a timing belt, or chain, its done 65k miles and i cant find anything in the paperwork saying its been done, so its going to the garage first chance i get just to be on the safe side

even though the td4 has a chain always listen for chain rattle I have never heard it but you never know.

My wife's BMW 318CI has timing chain rattle on the first start of the day. It's only done 65K miles and nothing to worry about as the sound is only there before the oil in pressure has built up.
If the chain continues to rattle long after the pressure light has extinguished, a new timing chain is required.
