Very Happy with the end result..
Lifts the look of the back amazingly..

looks good, but I would make one critical and urgent modification:

change at least one of the those wheel nuts for a locking one, or all your hard work will be making someone elses vehicle look nice pretty quickly.

oddly, my tailgate has an identical scratch and rustmark.

Yup, very nice now.

That spare wheel cover you had on is the scarce body-styling kit one.

Get a locking wheel nut on that spare wheel too - or some snatcher of a bar-steward will decide that they need it more than you do.

Edit: - OP beat me to it - great minds eh?

Thanks Guys,,what size are the wheel nuts,
I would like to get a full set of new ones,
and some lockers at the same time..

Just google for freelander locking nuts.

I had to get a new set when a garage lost my last key. Thing is they only come in sets of 4!!! Good job I had a spare nut and key in my box of bits. Only thing is I have to carry both keys now.... still it beats losing the spare wheel!

Well you guys made me think,
with regards to the people that might wish to borrow the wheel,
so I shot off to Halfords as the car is parked on a road not too far from an
alleyway, so I purchased some of these to tide me over for now,

Halfords | Ripspeed Locking Wheel Nuts (NC1157)

A perfect match for the Land rover alloy wheel..

Rear wheel now has 3 locking nuts,,:scratching_chin:
do you think that should help...
I know from one extreme to the other..

Thanks for the advise,,just a shame you were not able to pay for them as well..:D

Someone tried nicking my spare I few weeks ago :( luckily all they managed to do was scratch the paint around the locking nut as they couldn't get the cap off.

Well at least we know they work..

I have been looking into a new set of nuts and lockers for the other 4 wheels,

The after market nuts are all very similar from what I can gather..

Required sizes & Dimensions;

Just got to find the right sets at the right price,,,

do you guys not notice that your rear wiper misses at the top of the sweep?

treat yourselves to a new rear wiper arm and not only will it clear your rear screen properly it will also stop catching the tailgate whilst its working!!!!!!!!
Its funny that you mention this , since i got my freelander i noticed my rear wiper missed the top of the screen ! I replaced the wiper blade but its still the same , and thought its the arm /weak spring , can you just get the spring , any one know ?
