Hi All,

I have a 2005 TD4.

Started getting the power loss issue with engine mgmt light on under load (always by 3000 revs and usually by 70mph). Cleaned the EGR and disconnected the vacuum. No effect.

Turbo was taken off by a local fellow and tested = he felt it was ok.

At that point i gave up as i'd spent about £1000.

My turbo hose split this week - for a few hundred miles before black smoke started pouring from the engine, the power loss issue went away - 80-90mph and no orange light.

Presumably this was because air was leaking - does this still suggest a problme with the turbo, or possibly some kind of sensor malfunction?

James.

Seems likely you have an overboost problem. Suggest you check/change the boost control solenoid. It's been covered before, you just need to look... http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f9/td4-lack-power-70mph-fixed-77147.html
