Td4 leak?

I noticed a rusty, oily and a bit creamy looking deposit on my parking space tonight. Noticed the coolant had dropped a little from max to half way between this and min. Any ideas what this might be? Engine oil level fine. Cheers

Sounds like you park on the road or car park. Maybe another vehicle parked there while you were out?

Unfortunately it appears that the leak is coming from my car. Cold weather, diesel drips and through reading the posts on here it sounds like the pump seals. Only does it when starting in the cold. Came back after a longish drive and no drips after that. So how urgent is it that I get this sorted being Christmas time and being skint! If it's only when cold I suspect it's not poring out along the road when I set off?
