TD4 Crank Pully Clatter

Just another thought, keep the crank vent or PCV valve clean because if it gets blocked the oil will leak due to crank case pressure increase and the crank seals are where it will leak and the alternator is seriously at risk from the oil that is sprayed all over the place. This is the voice of experience. The seal still did its job after the PCV was cleaned and no more crank fume pressure. The theiving dealer mechanics wanted to replace the seals when what they should have said was "Did you clean the PCV?" Hope I help someone with this comment. Cheers, Stephen
