hello

few weeks ago my 54 reg td4 clutch pedal shoot up about 2" above the other pedels on checking the circlip that holds the rod to the pedal, i managed to put it all back and its been ok until few days ago when it popped back out and was hard going into gear, as a mate had just written off his freelander a few days ago i i tought i'd borrow his Clutch Master cylinder:hysterically_laughi that he replaced a few weeks ago,

when removing mine noticed a small amout of fluid on the carpet anyway pushed the collar back and slipped out with ease so refitted my borrowed one and now clutch is on the floor, i know these units are sealed and assumed dont need bleeding so thought it would work right away

can anyone help??????

cheers

There are many instances of air ingress while changing Td4 master cylinders so you have nothing to lose in trying. If it doesn't help then given your previous symptoms you could well have a problem with the bellhousing with slave cylinder or the clutch itself.
