Default Steering problem

Everytime i hit some water, not a speed but enough to get a splash and not the deep either, the steering goes juddery, and its near impossible to turn at low speeds, kind of judders and then theres a squeel from under the bonnet. Is the steering belt wrecked?

Might need a new belt or just tightening.

I recently replaced the PAS on my TD4 since it was impossible to turn at low speeds. Reving the engine made it "lighter". It also made a slight sweak - but nothing like a loose/wet belt.

About £150 exchange from steelers or get a discounted one on ebay like I did - £70 quid.
