hi

had the ac on today and then started to get water spraying out of the vents

got back home and noticed water on the mats, so annoying since ive just replaced all the dash and carpets

only thing i can think of is the condensate drain is blocked or when i put it all back must have pinched it

am thinking in how to get the drain back out, one thought is maybe cut the condensate drain, check to see if water comes out which would prove the pipe is blocked and maybe find a straight piece of tubing then push it through from under the bonnet

has anyone else had this and am i missing anything at all please

not sure if i can pull the pipe out without having to remove the dashboard, which i really dont want to do

thks as always

Pull the concertina 4 inch pipe oft the heater matrix to fan, under the dash in the passenger side. You may find this has water in it which the fan is catching and blowing up to the vents. Happens to mine when I run the air con on full cold for long periods. Could be the same issue on yours.

yep, when i pulled out the concertina pipe and put my hand inside there was water in the bottom

so when i pulled the drainage pipe off i thought if water comes out it must prove the pipe is either blocked or kinked, was pleased the water came out as soon as i removed the pipe

bought it indoors and put it under the tap, was clear so i must have kinked it when installing the pipe through the bulkhead

was actually thinking of getting some water pipe and installing that instead , as it will be i think easier and also wont kink and being full bore will allow the condense to drain alot quicker , plus if i can get a clear pipe so can see the condense draining as well

dont think its done any damage but thought it was my imagination

will of course report back on how it goes with a different pipe installed

what do u think about me putting a clear pipe in ?

hi

had a look at the ac evaporator unit today and the condense pipe

this may sound daft but looking at the unit and wondering if it needs any form of spacer on the bottom nut so that it angles the unit away from the bulkhead and thus increasing the angle of the drain

i would assume its incorporated within the mould of the unit but could it help drain the condense faster and thus prevent condense building up in the bottom and allowing condense to spray out of the vents

hope u dont think im nuts, lol

thks
