I have a problem with my freelander shaking at around 60mph. Ive had the wheels balanced, tracked and bearings on diff checked with no improvement.
I have been told it could be the viscous coupling breaking up causing the vibration. I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem or had any ideas.

Hiya m8,

I had an xedi and found that the vibrating was the viscus coupling. Priced it up very expensive around £600 (might have changed price now). So got mechanic to glue the coupling back together with high power glue and also replaced prop bearings. What i would do is go to Landrover specialist in your area.

Hope that helps.

After replacing the VCU, Prop bearings (again), Rear diff mounts and nearly every bush on the car with no improvement, I eventually found the problem causing the vibrations to be the front inner cv joints. Had 2 new driveshafts and cv joints fitted and now the vibrations has gone.
