Good Evening to you all,

I am venturing over here from the Range Rover forum where I usually linger, as I am after a little bit of your wisdom on behalf of a friend whose MY2010 Freelander 2 has thrown a bit of a wobbly. From what I can gather the satnav display started to fail, followed by the radio/integrated bluetooth, then the mirrors (which usually adjust themselves accordingly when parking or reversing) and parking sensors. Otherwise, it seems to be running fine.

I have done a bit of a search but am not turning anything up - have any of you come across this at all?

Given that my old Rangie is 20 years young this year, these new fangled Freelanders are a bit beyond my comprehension, but I would have thought any decent Landy specialist should have the diagnostic tools and be able to identify pretty quickly what the problem is? So far the garage that have it appear to have taken two days just to identify the problem and are now quoting a four-figure sum for the replacement 'component'. Doesn't seem right to me somehow, but then my idea of car maintenance usually involves a lump hammer and MIG welder....

Your thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated and if ever I can return the favour by offering any advice on Classic Rangies, I will happily share all that I can

Sounds like a CAN issue on the car somewhere.

Which garage have they taken it to - main dealer or LR specialist or any workshop?
