Any body fitted a RonBox tuning box to there Freelander 1 xdi and has it made a difference? just looking at them I could do with a bit more power.

Yes. I installed one about 6 months ago, along with a new MAF.
Immediately I noticed a difference, but that could have been due to the new MAF more than anything. Anyhow, performance is much much better. I have mine set on 9 (couldn't quite force myself to go for 10!) Most of the time I run it in Economy mode, but when an overtake is needed, flip the switch and off it goes like a scolded cat.
Easy to install too.

I had a Ronbox on mine. It made a difference. It highlighted all my engine problems 
Once sorted I had the car remapped, which I really like. I added the Ronbox for an hour. What a difference. Knocked over 3 seconds off the 0-60 time, but we are at looking around the 165/170bhp level which is too much for the auto box.
With the Ronbox you get up to 140bhp.
I have sold my Ronbox.
