Hi All,

Giving my hippo a service, there has allways been problems with the rear bumper light units. usually an intermitent connection problem due to the bloddy things filling up with water !

I have drilled a couple of drain holes now which has sorted the problem but the lampholders are all coroded and shagged !

So im after a couple of new lampholder wiring looms, does anyone have a pair available off a broken landy ?

looking on fleabay but no one has them available as there ripped out when the wiring looms are taken out of the car.

There basicly the small piece of wire loom that has 2 lamp holders and a plug on it -
A lamp holder for an indicator and for a brake / tail light and these connect into a small connection plug.

Cheers for your help guys

Regards

Also, I like the idea of changing the traditional brake lamps etc to the LED type, does anyone have any experience of the new LED type lamps for brake lights etc, are they any brighter or are they rubbish ?

Cheers

good idea in theory, but potentially an MOT failure as the bulb being used is not as originally designed, tested or submitted for approval by the manufacturer, this was discussed at length on here quite a while ago.

Maybe worth a try though if they're not too expensive.
