Orange Freelander 2 ?

Hi,
I have just seen a freelander 2 on the road in a very unusual, sort of metalic orange colour, I am most interested to find out a bit more about the colour, the name etc.
Any Ideas ?

Ask SES88. He has one.

Well the ones that spring to mind are Rimini, which is more red than orange, and Kinversand.

My Freelander 1 is Rimini Red. It is very red.

I'm not sure what the Freelander 2 orange is called. I'm sure it was mentioned in SES88's thread when he bought it.

Pretty sure it's called Tambora, but I don't think LR make that colour anymore? Bit Marmity for me..............

Tambora flame. Was a launch colour on the FL2.

Tambora Flame, was a 12 month limited run when the Freelander 2 came out! The colour is epic on a sunny day, but looks a bit odd and flat when its dull and grey outside!

There's about 4 that colour local to me, me and my dad own one each, had another one behind me this afternoon too.

As stated above epic colour, now an epic thread revival I recently acquired such a FL2 HSE.

Couple of photo's below, as our R40 meets are starting it will take me a couple of weeks to check it over properly, once I have had chance to do that the work will begin to get it how I want and expect them to be, does not need that much doing from a first quick look over, few nut and bolts a bit rusty which I will change.

Do we know how many in Tambora Flame were made ? would be nice to know cheers Arctic.

Not sure about orange freelanders but these look the 5olloks in orange

I don't know how many were made, but I do drive past one every day on the way to and from work.

Can't post a photo of my FL1 in Tangiers. That is real orange !!
