the old girls losing power from around the turbo

i need your help guys i have a y reg td4 gs its done 150,000 and suddenly its started losing power the pipes are fine round the turbo fuel filters are fine it starts when the turbo is under pressure then its as though it just stops working!!! its asthough the wastegate is stuck open!!! to cure the problem wait for the turbo to cool down stop start the engine and its fine again until you put it under pressure again!! but it wont do it if you go up the gears accleerating hard itll do it when you get to your desired speed. also the fbh tries to fire but wont any ideas as to why??/ hope you guys can help

I would imagine you need to check the turbo it self its not a real hard job to get it off the fbh may not be getting any fuel

There is a seperate fuel supply to the FBH. How do you know it's trying to start up?

Also go to the Introduction section and introduce yourself first as many people on LZ prefer for you to do so before posting in the general forums.
