Hi all. I just bought my first freelander today. It's a freelander 1 2.0 diesel. I have 3 light on the dash. Tc abs and something to do with hills. Where do I start ?

Mine went in for a wheel bearing and came out with same thing yesterday, the garage said the sensors just need reset but it's shut today.anyway the back left rear brake is sticking, the handbrakes slack as owt,it pulls to left when brakes are applied and the brakes are like a sponge so it's going back 1st thing.so it could be the sensors or it could be a problem with the brakes you'll need it checked out

My brakes also pull to the left. I'll have a look tomorro. Also what engine will be in mine. It's a 2.0 diesel 1999

Yours will be the rover engine I think.mines a 05 I think they put the BMW engine in 04.there's nothing wrong with my brakes,it just flew through an mot 2 weeks ago with land rover so I think they just need to adjust the brakes that they've messed with when changing the bearing and reset the sensors.so wouldn't worry,I think yours might be the same and if not just a routine job, nowt major.hope this helps

I am going to replace the discs and pads anyway ready for the snow. Hopefully slowly turn it into a off roader. Can anyone recomend a lift kit ? I already have BFG mud terain tyres

If yours is an 05 the wheel bearings have the reluctor rings in them!! Did the garage fit the early bearings without the reluctors ? It would explain your Abs fault!!

Not a clue tbh mate.the bearing is sorted but I've parked it up all day due to it's brakes.going in 1st thing so they can sort it out.

I would presume they've used the correct ones as they order parts inconjuction with the reg
