Hi all just received a new map sensor to fit , cost £50 new with 2 year warranty , will fit and report findings , max boost pressure shown was 15 on my scangauge , but has been erratic !

Fitted last night , took about 1 hour , went on a test run and found no change  idle read 0.0 , foot down max 15 + psi :( this am checked my scangauge for fault codes , none pending , none found , there was a force clear prompt , so I did ....... jackpot the new sensor was working idle read 14.4 , foot down max got to 29.4 psi car pulls a lot better , worth doing , got there in the end :):):)

Good news on the fix where did you get the map sensor from and how well does the scangauge work?

Hi , cheapest I could find on flea bay , maltings off road doncaster , some were £78+ , I cleaned the gunk out of the intake manifold 2 to 3 years back and I reckon the map sensor was duff then , got a scangauge last november , good bit of kit , its been useful :)

Received a map sensor from from maltings today and fitted it just need to find some kind sole to plug it in and reset it for me with a diagnostics gadget!!

Ah..... Mine is showing the same - 0 or 15PSI using both TouchScan and Torque android apps and a BT OBD reader.

Will try a force clear codes and see if it bumps the old one into giving a different reading before I order a new one. Cheers for the heads up!

This is interesting. I had my Scanguage set to MAP and sometimes it was 0-15psi and other times 14.3-30+ psi. Was wondering if there was something wrong somewhere.

But the Scanguage rarely starts recording data as soon as the engine is on, it can take a few minutes to an hour before it starts to read data.

Can't get to the bottom of it at the moment. Mpg /ave mpg and water temp take ages to display actual measurements. I have the other set to mph which starts straightaway.

I have not calibrated my scangauge for the mpg function , as for the map gauge up until the sensor was replaced read 0.0 to 15. , then I read on here ambient psi was 14.6 , and normal driving should show 17 psi + , so then realised the sensor must be duff , I use mph , volts , water temp and map/boost and once the scangauge comes on the readings have been instant , could be a cable issue hope you get it sorted

Mine is not calibrated for mpg either. I just have it on instant mpg and average. It doesn't need calibrating. Only the tank how far can it go part needs calibrating. The mpg is based on the GPH.

I am already on my 2nd cable.... Need to try unit on another vehicle but I don't have one to try on!
