Hi guys. I really need some help here.
Couple of months ago I fitted a synergy 2a , replaced the maff with a pierberg one and blanked off the EGR. All seemed fine at first although the ronbox didn't seem to make that much difference.
Now I have a real lack of power when trying to accelerate and clouds of blue smoke. The real worrying thing though is that I have got a dry rubbing sound above 30mph. The faster I go the louder it gets.
Has anyone had this problem and if so can someone point me in the right direction as to what it could be.
Freelander 1 2005 HSE auto
Thanks in advance

Does the rubbing sound change as the engine revs increase or the vehicle speed increases? Does it do it when revving when stationary?

Took it to a mate to look at it. Split hose causing the lack of power and he thinks the rubbing noise is the vcu bearing. next job then is to change the bearings and see if that stops the noise.
