Default Lacas 17N Key

Hi all
I have a Land rover freelander TD4 2005. It has one of these Rover Lucas 17N two button remote locking fobs. The problem I have is press unlock no problem door unlockes every time but some time the red alarm warning light on dash flashes and a bleep sounds. I was told this is to let you know the battery in the two button control fob needs changing. I have replaced the battery with a CR2032 but this still happends from time to time. Can anyone help me with this one . PS my wifes fob works ok.

tis definitely a battery problem, try changing it again. if it still does it, the key fob is starting to get a bit dodgy. either live with it, or buy a new one and pay a fortune for the main stealers to code it to your vehicle.

mine does it from time to time, especially if the fobs really cold (left my keys in the shed one night)

All batteries lose power in the cold. Your new 2032 might not be very good, they have a shelf life and could be old stock. Also they tend to drop thier voltage if you have been pressing the button a few times as you walk towards your car.
