K Series Swap

Hi guys,

Mate has just bought a 1.8 S Reg Freelander with HGF and he thinks a damaged block.

Can you fit any 1.8 K series into this motor, he has been offered a lump out of a rover 218

He dont wanna go for a turbo or anything, just a straight forward engine swap.

PM NorthernIrelander or ming they're our local gaylander eggspurts.

Its a straight swap, just make sure its like for like otherwise you'll be re-wiring the looms and ECU

dizzy caps < LATE 01have the MEMS 1.9,

twin coils > late 01 have MEMS 3.0

There is another engine, the VVC, found in some rovers, its MEMS 2J

still reckon the 2.0 litre turbo lump is the best option.
