K series 1.8 fuel economy

:Okay after a week of fairly light running with only two longish runs I've filled up again.
Distance = 278.8km
fuel = 20.64 Litres
= 13.5km / L
= 7.4L / 100km
= 38.1mpg
Now that's more like it.

Could someone confirm my math's for me?

I've re-checked my initial figures. Failed at that maths!
94.4km = 58.66m
8.66L = 1.9g
fuel usage =
10.9km/L
OR 9.17L / 100km
= 30.9mpg
Not so shabby for a 1.8 after all!

Pick up is good, seems to get along very well and holds speed on the hills - have to change down to forth on the steeper ones. Even at low speeds it pulls smoothly away in forth or fifth from 40-50km/h. I haven't tried it for top speed nor 0 - 100km/h. I wouldn't expect top speed to alter [much] but it may get to 100km/h a bit faster.
