Default IRD - rebuild

Heya fellas.

Am looking to rebuild my IRD unit. I am having problems removing the Aluminium Coolant hose box, from the IRD unit. Is there a trick with taking this off so as to remove and replace the crown wheel, pinion, and bearings ?

Its the recess on the RHS, 3 oclock position (Courtesy of Baldbryn, Landrovernet.com). Try to lever from that point

Go easy or you will break.

We wanna see some piccies Yanick.

I too will be undertaking the task in the near future, just picked up a 2nd hand unit, will be swapping it over and keeping my FL as a daily runner.

Will only be tackling the front bearing sets not all 7 bearings, the 7th being on the output shaft.
