Morning. Just taken delivery of a 53 plate facelift Freelander td4. Wonder if anyone knows of the best way to connect an ipod please? Would prefer cable connection as not too keen on the fm transmitter option. Thanks

Is your stereo the standard one that came with the car? If so then I doubt there is an auxillary input in it and you will probably have to buy a new stereo of your choice that has iPaidtoomuch connectivity :).

Are you sure that's it? No transmission trouble? No blocked EGR valve? Nothing else? That has to be the most banal problem that anyone has ever had on this forum. Ever.

Welcome and enjoy your stay. You'll be back. With bigger problems.....

Will.

There used to be a few systems that you could replace the multichanger input with that would change playlists on disk select etc., but these were discontinued and don't seem to be available anywhere.
Would have been a good option for me as the CD changer is too jumpy.
If you find one let me know, I'm currently using a cassette adapter thing which mostly works but isn't very elegant and keeps trying to reverse the tape :(

Hahahahaha thanks for the replies. As for it being a banal problem - its not - its just the first of a no doubt list. So I will be back for more help in the not too distant future

Well you've got lots of homework to do, this place is an absolute treasure trove of info. If you read through the pinned threads at the top of this forum that will be a great start for you :).

And don't worry, once your Hippo is happy and cared for it will never let you down. Mostly.

I've an '04 HSE with the factory Becker stereo/nav.

I bought a cheapo cable from eBay that replaces the CD Changer input with a 3.5mm Line In.

Works fine, cost about a tenner.
