Hi, I need helping getting my hub off to change the abs ring.

I managed to get the hub but off using my 3/4 socket.

Next I got the top nut and bolt holding the hub to the strut. And I got the the bottom strut nut off. But the bottom bolt going through the strut and hub would not budge. I smacked it from the nut end with a big hammer, tried to get a chizel behind the head, tried a long socket with a bar..

Sprayed loads of wd40 on it.

It will not shift and I think this is the only other bolt I need to remove to get the shaft out.

put the nut back on a couple of turns, and hit the nut with a rubber mallet, always works for me, then take nut off, carry on with mallet till flush, then use the other bolt as a punch to knock it half way through, sorted

I tried that and gave it some serious welly with the hammer but still nothing.

Is it something a bit of heat with a blowtorch might solve?

Mine came out pretty easily, but cars don't get so rusted and cacked up over here as no salt on the roads.

Could you use a G cramp or hub puller - if you can get it to grip on the hub in some way.

Is the drive shaft able to come out if I leave the strut bolts in but remove the but from the ball joint?

If I do get the bolts out will I need a puller to get the shaft out of the bearing or will it just tap out

Done. After 15 minutes of the blow torch trying to get it out I decided to unbolt the ball joint but and levered the wishbone down.

The top strut bolt and ball joint were enough to get the shaft out.

Had to slightly file the side of the hub around to guide the new reluctor ring on

Everything perfect all good thanks guys
